The summer of 2024 is shaping up to be a colourful one!

With the release of Disney Pixar's latest film, Vice-Versa 2, on 19 June, every city in the world has been painted in bright, vibrant colours. A highly anticipated phenomenon, the animated film is a sequel to the first opus, released in 2014, and follows the different emotions that make up our being in the form of colourful animated personifications. That's why this month, Cristallerie de Montbronn has decided to focus on colours. A great asset of our company, our palette of coloured crystal now includes more than 14 colours and is a source of great pride, because crystal can also be colourful and emotional!

What do you feel when you enter a space? Are you overcome by a sense of calm? Do you feel energised and ready to face your day? The science of colour has undergone prodigious advances, beginning with Isaac Newton's revolutionary experiments in the 17th century, which led to the creation of the first colour wheel. Subsequently, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe enriched this field with the publication of his revolutionary work, the ‘Theory of Colours’, in 1810. His magisterial work was the first to explore in depth the psychological effects of colours and their subtle but powerful influence on human emotions.
