Toccata collection

Derived from the Italian toccare, meaning ‘to touch’, the toccata is a free-form composition for keyboard instruments in Baroque music. The toccata played a key role in the emergence of the instrumental repertoire from the sixteenth century onwards, and holds a primordial place in instrumental music. Rhythmic and virtuoso, the toccata requires exceptional skill and mastery. The Cristallerie de Montbronn collection of the same name celebrates this musical practice in a masterful design: straight, flat cuts rise from the bottom of the glass, forming a harmonious expanse.
