Koré - Coffee table

Mythically wise, Koré takes its name from the type of the iconic archaic Greek sculpture. On the Acropolis of Athens, in the 6th century BC, these statues of young girls were dedicated to Athena, goddess of the city. Just like each of our creations, each koré statue proves to be exceptional and individualized by the style of its artist. Straight, majestic, powerful : our coffee table brings new life to the ancient Athenian statues. It continues its homage in its meticulous hand-cut design in our precious coloured crystal, representing an elegant serpent, referring to the first Cretan representations of the goddess, then accompanied by the serpent-god Erechtheus. Her alliance of magnificent raw steel not only links Koré to her sisters but represents the robustness and valor of the divine koré.
